A few more Eggs from Geraldine.
A egg this morning we think was from Betty.
And a first egg from Mavis. Mavis’ egg is 40 grams, light in colour and has a rather rough shell.
Wilma is coming into lay – she crouched in the pen for me so won’t be long.
Today we put all the chickens in a box to facilitate giving the Eglu a good clean and to replace the bark chippings with woodshavings
The girls like their new woodshavings and have kicked a good percentage of it out of the run already. What naughty chickens. I hope that if/when the wind gets up the woodshavings stay put.
In other news …. when out and about we found a branch of Countrywide Farmers – they had lots of chicken things including Apple Cider Vinegar. Will be making a return visit soon!
