Tree Gone

Saturday 22nd November 2008 by Steve Mayne

The Oak was removed from our garden this week – and as we thought – it was diseased. The truck had some big yucky looking holes in the inside. It would have lasted probably quite some years, but we’d have had lots of other branches drop off, one of which broke the top of a fence panel, our safety meant that it had to go.

We were sad to see it chopped down – but it was for the best.

Out of the deal we got to keep the stump and got two very large bags of wood chippings which the chooks will enjoy once we have them moved to their new home.

The builder will be here in December to put the concrete base in.
