Training Geraldine

Sunday 26th April 2009 by Steve Mayne

Geraldine, for the past few months had been sleeping, or attempting to with me kicking her out, in the nest box.

So since moving to the new concrete area, before Dusk I’d been putting a large empty-paint tin in the area between the roosting bars and nest box. I kept this routine going for the last two weeks.

The last four nights Geraldine has been putting herself to bed on the roosting bars – getting back to the routine she had before going on to the patio.

Hopefully this will continue – removing poo from the wood shavings in the nest box is not a task I enjoy.
