Slightly Green

Monday 4th May 2009 by Steve Mayne

Well I know that the Greeness of this open to question – but let me continue.

The shed has been reconstructed, reformed, and it’s ready for business.

A few more coats of paint – and it’s almost like new.

What was missing was some light, any light, in the shed. Now 220volts is something I’ve had in a shed before, and relatively easy to deploy.

But a gift came my way, as in a Solar Powered set of Shed Lights. I wasn’t expecting much, in-fact very low expectations set.

I managed to acquire a Solar Power set of Shed Lights for free – and to be honest they do the job very well.

They just take the darkness off of everything – and really the lights are under-rated for the panel which is able to charge and proved LED power in very low light.

Which is nice.

Seems pretty green to me…you are using solar lights and you re built the shed rather than junking it and buying a new one, no?

I’d pat yourself on the back, quite honestly

    :-)

    Nice shed, as well…

Yes I did … maybe my idea of Green is reusing stuff you have lying around … hmm, I rebuilt the frame and roof batons using scrap wood so that bit qualifies :)

Should be getting another shed light + panel for free so maybe I can start generating electricity to put back into the National Grid ;)
