Carrots!

Monday 6th July 2009 by Steve Mayne

A small selection of the massive amount of mini-carrots that we have grown.

We are totally surprised – all we did was water them and they grew.

Also tucking into ‘free’ Lettuce, Spinach.

The spuds should be ready in a week or two, and the various beans will be following also.

Tomatoes are kinda golf-ball sized, green, and look promising.

Even the Peppers that we sowed in March are coming up.

The Herb Garden has taken off and also doing well.

My better-half is surprised how little we need to maintain all the veg to help it grow.

During the days without rain I have been watering the veg, this is no chore to be honest.

I am looking forward to the onions – I just could eat fried-onion all day!

P.S. I should point out that my wife did all the weeding & planting. I’m watering and manual labour department.
