Switch Supplier

Tuesday 8th December 2009 by Steve Mayne

We recently switched Gas and Electricity Supplier which has saved us £150 a year and you get a free case of Virgin Wine’s cheapest plonk.

Well – when I saw we switched supplier, the supplier is the same, as it’s the same pipes, it’s the billing company that changes.

Electricity is now 11.17 pence a unit, which has now been programmed into our portable energy meter. To think only a few years ago electricity was 6 pence …

We switched by using the comparison website uSwitch.

Ecotricity are intending to supply gas in the not to distant future. They are going to use Anaerobic Digestion technology to produce biogas (methane) and feed it into the gas network.
They'll then be able sell a dual fuel product.
