Over the weekend I found a log from my woodpile that looked like it’d be a good addition to the garden as a “Do It Yourself” solitary Bee House.
Out came the corded power drill and a 10mm drill bit – and the construction (or destruction) commenced. For completeness I also drilled holes into the far end of the log.
The next thing was where to locate the new des-res. Google indicated full sun was required – so what better place than on the side of the shed, next to our bee-friendly Foxgloves and bee-friendly Lavender?
To attach the bee house to the shed – I placed a wooden batten inside of the shed and screwed through from the batten and into the log.
I will report back once we get our first resident …
