RIP Mrs Brown

Monday 10th September 2012 by Steve Mayne

RIP Mrs Brown – thank you very much for your lovely eggs.

Mrs Brown had been suffering for a week or so with a goopy vent – and the outside of her eggs have been covered in blood.  She found herself in the nesting box for most of the day – with a bleeding bottom.

We did the deed ourselves – she was so tired it was almost as if she wanted it all to end.

I feel awful with myself for having to put her to sleep. I am sorry Mrs Brown if it took a little longer that it ought to – I did my best for you.

Then there were eight.
