Yesterday I completed run 2 of Week 7 of the Couch to 5k program.
And it was a tricky one … I’d stupidly elected to involve hills. Not just one, but quite a few. And it was not a great idea.
It all came good in the end though, and managed to do a bunch of walking with the kids on Hayling Island later in the day. Oh and a little swim in the sea – it was jolly cold.
I was happy with this … and I am compressing the sessions a little faster than I should due to the good weather.
I’ve been wearing sweat bands since week 4 (hah – remember these were popularised by Tennis players in the 1970’s) but my eyebrows did a jolly good job of keeping the sweat out of my eyes. Which reminds me I should give ’em a bit of a trim (eyebrows that is). Anyway, somehow the sweatband ends up getting soaked anyway … yuck … and the strap for my Smartphone (this records the stats above) is a great dripping mess of sloppy sweat at the end of it.
Next run is tomorrow (Thursday) and the plan is to run again on Sunday to sync up with a Tue/Thur/Sat routine starting next week.
