It looks like a new Fishing Shop is opening in Wellington Way in Waterlooville Precinct.
After the demise of “Waterlooville Camping” that was located on the A3 near to the Woodpecker Pub, the area has been bereft of an Angling Shop.
I’ll be honest – I haven’t fished since I was a teenager and I wasn’t that good at it, though this was Petersfield Lake and rumour had it that the one fish in the lake did it’s best but had a tough time jumping onto my hook.
My assumption is this is an independent store – first impressions are that they seem to know what they are doing and raising local awareness via posters in their windows.
So if you know anything about this new store, or can remember what is was before it was vacated (was it a Jeweller?) please join the conversation.
Best of luck to them. We will definitely be using them if they sell bate.
Rates are huge in Waterlooville, so good point.
What are you 2 like ???
Waterlooville camping used to stock fishing stuff. There’s a trout farm up near winchester hill fort and places to fish at Southwick…
plenty of places to fish locally apparently…just need to venture out the 1 mile radius
The one in Havant seems to do good business.
I dont think it will be open long, overheads will be to great.BEST OF LUCK THOUGH
I thought it was a great plaice to set up!
They want to pray to cod it works though!
groan …
Any fin is possible!
I reely hope they do well.
Skating on thin ice with that business but I hope they fillet with customers!
In today’s economy, any new start-up needs to be ready for a battering!
Suppose if they run into trouble they could call in a loan shark!
Don’t bait me for more puns!
