New Fishing Shop in Wellington Way?

Sunday 23rd February 2014 by Steve Mayne

Spread the love

It looks like a new Fishing Shop is opening in Wellington Way in Waterlooville Precinct.

Waterlooville Fishing Shop

After the demise of “Waterlooville Camping” that was located on the A3 near to the Woodpecker Pub, the area has been bereft of an Angling Shop.

I’ll be honest – I haven’t fished since I was a teenager and I wasn’t that good at it, though this was Petersfield Lake and rumour had it that the one fish in the lake did it’s best but had a tough time jumping onto my hook.

My assumption is this is an independent store – first impressions are that they seem to know what they are doing and raising local awareness via posters in their windows.

So if you know anything about this new store, or can remember what is was before it was vacated (was it a Jeweller?) please join the conversation.

Waterlooville camping used to stock fishing stuff. There’s a trout farm up near winchester hill fort and places to fish at Southwick…
