Hulbert Road roadworks start for new Dunsbury Hill Farm Development

Sunday 15th June 2014 by Amanda Mayne

A new “business gateway” development has been started on Dunsbury Hill Farm Havant. The office and industrial estate (including a Hotel) is in the area of land adjacent to the A3(M) just at the end of Hulbert Road. It means that the surrounding roads will have to be improved which includes Hulbert Road and the Asda Walmart Roundabout. We will see major changes in the coming months (and most probably lots of disruption too!)

The trees have been cleared from the roundabout ready for its enlargement and traffic lights to be installed.

At the other end of the Hulbert Road, trees have been felled and the area where the new road is going is being cleared. For as long as I can remember this part of Waterlooville has stayed unchanged.

The picture above shows the path of the new road toward the proposed Dunsbury Hill Development.

Personally, it’s sad to see more changes to Waterlooville – especially when trees are felled and green space is used. Waterlooville is fast becoming a concrete town.

I’ll be avoiding the asda roundabout, looks like I’ll be doing online shopping instead (maybe from asda). I wonder how much it will affect them. Hopefully the motorway junction work takes place at night! As for waterlooville becoming a concrete town, well it’s becoming even more residential and people need places to work. Although using greenfield development for business isn’t so great, but it is near the motorway.

Actually this isn’t Waterlooville. Development, yes…..but little real impact on Waterlooville itself.

    Not actually Waterlooville though.

Plus most of the redevelopment will take place over a period of up to 10 years. Planning has been in place for a whole, the road building is designed to attract clients
