Built by Hampshire County Council at the cost of £35 million and completed in 2008, the A3 ZIP Bus Corridor provides a priority route for bus services between Clanfield and Gunwharf Quays.
Unfortunately there continues to be quite some confusion on which type of vehicle should go in which lane.
The photograph below, taken last Saturday afternoon at the Horndean Catherington Traffic Lights, shows how not to do it:
- The car driver is in the bus priority traffic light controlled bus lane
- The bus driver is in the standard non-priority traffic light lane
P.S. My apologies for the poor focus of the image; I had been to the pub, and it was very difficult to not laugh at the absurdity of the situation.
