The summer holidays are becoming a nice routine of days filled with activities and days which are our ‘chill out’ days. Today was one of those quieter days; the morning was damp and drizzly so after lunch we popped into Waterlooville so the boys could continue with their mission to complete this year’s library challenge (which they successfully completed last year).
Two more books down, a few more stickers collected for their poster and *another* heavy bag full of library books we headed back to our car parked down in the Wellington Retail Park. As we passed the newly opened Costa Coffee, Helen from Caterpillar Crafts asked the boys if they’d like to make mini minions – and the best part – all for free!
Caterpillar Crafts were camped out in the new Costa for the afternoon offering children fun activity whilst their parents had a break.
The boys couldn’t help but be inspired by Helen’s enthusiasm and they all took to the activity readily. They made their mini-minions and had great fun customising them just the way they wanted to.
It was a fun way to spend 20 minutes and the boys came away wondering if they could make more crafts at home!
Caterpillar Crafts are a community based business based in Cowplain and have a busy schedule over the summer with many activities for your children to join in. Look out for them -You can’t miss their bright yellow, Caterpillar Craft tops! (Find more info here: Website, Facebook, Twitter)
This was great example of two businesses working together for the local community.
