On Saturday 25th July the first “Waterlooville Bandstand” took place, headlined by The Wall of Floyd, a Pink Floyd Tribute (Website / Facebook).
The Wall of Floyd played their 90 minute gig.
Normally you’d pay around £18 per person to see a Wall of Floyd gig, for Waterlooville shoppers it was free!

The event was amazing, the sound, music, vocals, everything was professional gig-quality. I was astounded.
The event and brought in lots of folks who’d otherwise be some place else, instead they came to Waterlooville and spent money in the precinct shops!
On behalf of those residents that attended the event, I’d like to say thank you The Wall of Floyd!
The Saturday Bandstand is designed to improve footfall in Waterlooville Precinct, surveys were sent to Waterlooville shops. Feedback from the shops that responded is shown here: Saturday Bandstand Shop Feedback. To preserve the anonymity of those shops that complained, the shop names have been blanked out. Perhaps these shop owners would prefer to listen the rustle of tumbleweed that normally pervades the precinct on a Saturday afternoon.
Well done everyone involved – this first Saturday Bandstand was AWESOME!
P.S. There was another act at this event but they complained about the coverage and so the artist has been respectfully removed from the post.
