Yet more tyres were dumped by an unscrupulous business or individual in Waterlooville last night.
Located just off of Tempest Avenue Waterlooville in a resident’s communal car park, what looks to be around 30+ tyres, car body panels and door cards were fly-tipped.
This is not the first incident of fly-tipping here, another set of used tyres were dumped nearby earlier in the year.
What can be done to stop this, well very little … fly-tipping takes place late at night, and unless a registration plate or incriminating evidence is left at the scene very little can be done by the authorities to find, locate, then prosecute the perpetrator.
Reputable businesses have to pay to scrap tyres, you may have seen a tyre-scrap fee on your invoice when replacing your own vehicle’s tyres. Reputable businesses employ a the services of waste management company which charges money to dispose or recycle a tyre in an environmentally safe way.
Who picks up the bill for removal of dumped tyres? It’s normally YOU the council tax payer, so you have every right to be cross.
