Fox & Hounds Waterlooville’s Revamp

Monday 12th October 2015 by Steve Mayne

We were invited by Kelly to pop in and take a look at the work-in-progress “Re-Sparkle” of the Fox & Hounds Waterlooville. This is the third pub in Waterlooville this year to get a revamp.

The photographs below are the revamp in progress:

When the pub sign’s was removed (see below) the pub’s original sign was discovered underneath.

The outside has a new covered area, plus there are other improvements planned for the garden.

Kelly explained the intention is to keep the character of the pub as it is; the re-model’s goal is to freshen up areas that were looking a little tired:

  • Inside and out is getting a lick of paint
  • Enhance baby change facilities
  • New and improved menu
  • New internet jukebox
  • A bigger TV installed
  • Improve the kid’s area inside of the pub

The plans are to have everything completed by the end of this month.

The Fox & Hounds is a “Guinness Quality Approved Pub” and has a Food Hygiene rating of 5 Stars. The landlord will be renewing their “The Cask Marque Award” in due course.

As a family, we are always made to feel welcome and are well looked after; the Fox & Hounds is certainly one of our favourite pubs to visit.
