First day of the Christmas Holidays and I took the boys up to Waterlooville Library to visit Santa in his Grotto. Set up and arranged by a dedicated group of volunteers from the Waterlooville Event’s Team (the people behind the Summer Fair and Christmas Light Switch On) you can take your kids to visit Santa for just £2 per child.
The grotto is kitted out in a suitably log-cabin type Christmas theme and Santa’s elves are on hand to show you through to visit the Big Man. My boys were given a chocolate coin and a wrapped gift – which alongside visiting Santa, is great value.
After the children have visited Santa, there is a grotto walk-way with houses and buildings all made by the staff of Waterlooville library. The boys particularly liked the police station with a ‘robber’ seen at the window.
Hurry! The grotto is open 10-2 everyday on the run up to Christmas – and it’s well worth a visit.
