There is a new Estate Agent in town. Fry & Kent opened their doors in January 2016. Fry and Kent’s premises are located in the southern part Waterlooville shops, opposite the former Focus Sounds building and next to the Ladbrokes betting shop.
Fry and Kent have been selling and renting residential property in the city of Portsmouth and south east Hampshire for over 40 years.
Really needed!!!
It’s good that these units are being filled, but Waterlooville may have more estate agents than charity shops soon.
Barbara we weren’t going to post this then we realised someone would complain … so here it is. Yes Kate better than being empty. Does anyone know what was here beforehand?
Yes I grant better than standing empty but when is the town going to attract other businesses: Or is the plan to ‘move’ Waterlooville to where the retail park is growing by Matalan etc?
I imagine Barbara that the owner of the retail park has the plan to move Waterlooville away from the Precinct. We are not HBC ( I think you know that, I am just re-iterating as it is a common misconception, I wouldn’t be happy with my council tax being wasted on maintaining this page ;) ) as far as I know they do not have any formal plans for the town.
About Waterlooville fair comment but it is good to have this platform to air views and grievances. Someone in authority might take note
They do take note Barbara (waves at ‘them’) though under UK laws their powers are limited, bordering on non-existent to actually change anything. Perhaps we ought to hire The A-Team, they are great at solving difficult situations just like this where nobody else can help.
Was an electrical shop barbara
Definitelt better than empty but come on Waterlooville we need variety. Not same old, same old.
Yes, another estate agents was there before ð
Was that the old self wire electric shop? The owners retired a few years ago? I used that shop a lot and now how terrible I can’t remember where about it was! I think even though it’s another estate agents at least it’s not an ugly empty building becoming derelict xx
Hi Chrissy yes you are correct, a few years back it was Self Wire!
Yay my brain hasn’t completely shut down! X
Another Estate Agent?!
Ready to sell/rent all the flats they’re throwing up!
Oh fancy that another estate agents!!
There are THIRTEEN, yes THIRTEEN estate agents on that one section of the town centre.
Don’t go down that part of Waterlooville, not much to go to Waterlooville for these days anyway :(
Well Phillip, that is more than I thought they’d be … 13! Does that include the Estate Agents above the Phone Repair Doctor?
If it has a ground floor shop front, yes. If not, no. Then there is Mann around the corner plus the other new one at the other end so theres at least 15 estate agents !
Excellent. So Waterlooville is the place to go to if you want too buy or sell a house. Must admit I don’t really understand why estate agents have a high street presence, it’s not as if they hold any stock or anything …
Way too many. There will be a few more empty shop fronts this year I fear.
Always a bad sign when the majority are estate agents, phone shops and charity shops.
Thats why Ive sold up and am moving !
Where to?
Bournemouth.Right on the beach. Did a part exchange. But its still being built and wont be ready for another 12 mnths so im stuck here till then.
That’s why you’re following Bournemouth. Couldn’t get at ticket for 19 March at the Lane ð¢
Look on the bright side…..youll be spared the humiliation of witnessing what Chelsea and Man U recently went through ;)
Pity you didn’t say that you are opposite the Charity Fitzroy, which is a day centre for adults with special needs xx
Hi Fiona that was the former “Les Smith / Clix”? I don’t think residents would know it as the Charity Fitzroy :)
Yes it is, I agree Fitzroy isn’t very well known. I’m very proud of the good work they do & want to “put us out there”.
Thanks for your reply xx
