After visiting Bognor Regis in the year, we decided to give Littlehampton a visit. I used to visit Littlehampton back in the 90’s due to work, and wanted to check out the funfair and of course the RNLI Lifeboat Blue Peter 1 prior to it’s pending retirement.
On arrival there were plenty of car parks to choose from, and the day out looked promising. We walked along the beach, and discovered this art installation.
The beach looked fantastic though being March wasn’t warm enough for a dip!
We had fish and chips from a vendor next to the beach, I’m sorry to say that they were absolutely awful, in hindsight we’d have been better off getting food from the town.
Then on to see the RNLI’s Blue Peter 1 Lifeboat. A volunteer was at the station and gave us a wonderful talk and allowed me to take some photographs of Blue Peter 1. We popped a few coins into the RNLI’s charity box as way of thanks.

Then we went off to the funfair. No fun was had as the prices of the rides were expensive compared to our local funfair on Hayling.
Our lads were happy enough playing on the penny machines …
… and arcade games …
Overall I was disappointed with Littlehampton, perhaps by visiting in March we didn’t see it at it’s best, and certainly the substandard fish and chips put a damper on the day.
We probably won’t return any time soon.
