The former location of the British Heart Foundation charity shop next to Stakes Hill Road has remained vacant for a number of years. During the untenanted period this shop has been gently falling into disrepair and has only provided rent-free accommodation for the precinct’s pigeons.
Many of our readers felt that the shop, which is one of Waterlooville’s older buildings, had been abandoned; good news everyone, in the last week the shop has been under renovation. At the front of the shop, new security shutters have been installed, the outside and inside of the shop is being repaired and repainted.
This shop has been burgled several times in the recent past with entry gained via the roof, fingers crossed the renovation will take care of this shop’s security shortcoming.
The information we have at this time is that this will be a mobile phone shop, we’ll keep you updated.
