The Phantom Pigeon Feeder of Waterlooville Strikes Again!

Sunday 11th March 2018 by Steve Mayne

Despite a crackdown by the local council on the feeding of the pigeons in Waterlooville Precinct, the fowl play continues.

It may be tough to Swallow, but the Birdbrain feeding the pigeons is not doing the precinct a Tern for the better; pigeons are vermin and pigeon poop (guano) damages property and can contain the diseases such Histoplasmosis, Candidiasis, Cryptococcosis, St. Louis Encephalitis, Salmonellosis and E.coli.

The Phantom Pigeon Feeder of Waterlooville is putting shoppers, residents, and shop worker’s health at risk though by encouraging the pigeons to reproduce and remain within the precinct.

Will the Phantom Pigeon Feeder be brought to justice to do some Bird or take the hint and Flock off?

I have seen a lady with a large Asda bag, emptying all the bird seed by the tree that now been taken away. By all accounts, there is no CCTV in Waterlooville town, which is probably why the local thieves, blatantly walk out of the shops with their arms full of stock!

Don’t have a problem with pigeons. I work in Waterlooville. They have a right to go wherever they wish. What the council should be more concerned with is the low lives stealing from smaller shops and to start to encourage business into waterlooville, for God’s sake. Plus get the cctv put back on!!!

It is always the animals that get picked on, not the people who do most of the damage to everything in this world. Leave the animals along.

I agree. All wildlife, including pigeons, have a right to live on this planet, like we do. Okay, we are human, but it does not give us the right to decide what goes on. We don`t even own this planet, just short lived residents who pass in time.

The Conservative cabinet of Havant Borough Council yesterday agreed to scrap its CCTV system, which has been in operation since 1999.

No chance of catching her then Cllr Michael Sceal

Actually before you complain as ever H.B.C.Do not have to provide it and the police who use it would not help pay for it even when over the last 9 years they have had an increase in money.
