Portsmouth Emirates Spinnaker Tower & Gosport Ferry

Monday 15th October 2018 by Steve Mayne

Spread the love

We spent a day at Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard, the highlight for me was the scheduled Harbour tour, we waited for a sunny calm day before purchasing out tickets as I wanted to take some photographs whilst on the tour.

Unfortunately due to the time of day and position of the sun, the photographs of the various naval ships in the harbour were underexposed due to the bright background, but the sun was well positioned for some images of the Emirates Spinnaker Tower and the Gosport Ferry.

I didn’t get the images of the warships that I had hoped for, then again I’m more than happy with these images, taken using a hand-held unstabilised compact camera.

To ensure I got the seats on the front of the boat I queued up for scheduled tour an hour before departure.
